Otsuka Game Day 69: Kaiju Komedown
Back from Japan's largest bilingual TTRPG event, Kaijucon! Ready to follow it up with some more gaming?
Welcome to the biggest and best day of tabletop RPG gaming in the heart of Tokyo - roll dice, try out new games and make fantastic memories.
As always, we’re looking for volunteer GMs to run sessions. Just click on one of the open game slots and submit - one of the organizers will be approving the game shortly.
Otsuka Game Day is a great opportunity to play some one-shots sessions, join a mini campaign and make some like-minded friends!
Yes, beginners are welcome to attend. On the day of the event, if you are signed up for a game but don’t know where it is, just walk up to the 3rd floor of Titans and ask someone with dice to point you in the right direction. Let the dice be thy guide!
HOW THE GAME DAY WORKS
For our fine playing folks, stay tuned for these entries coming up and pick your games. You can find an overview of the games on the TRS event system.
To join an actual game, follow the 3 easy steps below:
CHECK - Check the games for one with an opening.
ATTEND - Find a game with an opening and click “Join”. Don’t forget to also click “Attend” on the Meetup event page (it helps with the algorithm!). You will be automatically signed up on our event system. If there are no games with an opening, get on a waiting list and hope for the best. Then show up on Saturday ready to roll dice or just drink as the gods decide your fate.
CONTACT - If you’re going to be late or have a question about the game you’re attending, then directly message the GM of the game you’re signed up for or post a message on their game page.
Delta Green
YanYou are part of Delta Green, a secret conspiracy within the United States government. Your goal is to investigate, contain and cover up the supernatural, to protect the sanity, or what's left of it, of the wider population. SIGINT sources have provided Delta Green with a lead on a potential event in rural Mexico, where an unusual rate of disappearances has been reported among the local population. Then, there are the reports of dismembered corpses showing up in the local hospital. It might be a fluke, it might be something supernatural. In any case, Delta Green will have to find out what is going on. Your flight for Mexico leaves in the afternoon. Delta Green is a game of modern Lovecraftian horror using a d100 system.
Dragonbane
Pete CThis is Part 2 of a ‘rolling campaign’ - an epic adventure uncovering the secrets of the Dragon Emperor over several months where players can drop in and out of the game. Each month will be a different adventure site. You can just sign up for one month, skip a month or two and then re-join the game later on. Alternatively you can come along for the whole ride too. And of course it’s absolutely fine to just sign up for this session and ride off into the sunset too. We held the first session last month but feel free to join the campaign this month, even if you’ve never played the game before. TLDR: This spooky one-shot is part of a campaign but feel free to treat it as a one shot and just come along for one session. There’s no pressure to sign up for the campaign. The campaign has a central hub (the village of Outskirt) that players return to so the game will hopefully lend itself to this style of campaign. Players will need a pencil, eraser and the usual selection of RPG dice (d20, d12 etc.) I’ll bring along a few spare sets too. The game contains the usual collection of races (humans, elves, halflings, dwarves, wolf kin and er…mallards (duck people)) and classes such as mages, hunters, fighters and thieves. Let me know if there’s a particular race/class combination that you’d like to play and I’ll try and accommodate you. Bear in mind that the group will need to be fairly balanced though. The Road’s End Inn Rumours speak of the Road’s End Inn, several days journey to the east of Outskirt, by the edge of the Haunted Marshes. There is something strange about the inn. Several guests there have disappeared without a trace, among them a small child, and most recently the shepherd Angelina. Her family is worried sick.

Otsuka RPG Day October 31, 2026
Please support the venue by ordering food and drink - both are also seriously delicious and highly recommended.
SpecTRS Lite
MK DysonThe metropolis of Sprallplains is a bustling hub of trade, adventure, and tourism, home to wizards, warriors, rogues, and adventurers guilds of all kinds. But it has a mysterious and troubling problem, a plague of unknown cause, as a cloud has settled over the city, pouring down rain for a record 67 straight days. So far it has not turned into a true catastrophe, but the city magistrates are unsure if the levees and flood tanks can last more than 69 days--which leaves just 2 days to solve the problem. Many rumors have spread: that it's a curse from a peeved god, a plot of distant mages, etc., but the most popular one is that the famed Tomb of Avocadak the demilich, an ancient adventuring site buried deep in the city, is somehow responsible. Anyone who puts a stop to the rainfall by raiding the tomb will surely be rewarded. Join a game that only requires two d6 dice and a pencil to play.

MK DysonRegistration is closed but if you show up at the game we have a couple open slots
Cairn 2eFor generations, the House of Wending has endured, bound to a singular purpose which finds its end tonight. Accept your role among the family, wield dangerous magic, and make the journey together on a night where death is sure to lay waste to our line. When one falls, shoulder their burdens, take up their arms, and step into their place in the procession. All for the House. Run in Cairn 2e, an OSR system where survival depends more on player choice than character power. This will be a particularly lethal game, so expect to roll multiple characters. Characters will be generated at the table. Bring some dice if you got 'em.

Monster of the Week
KevinMWill I still make it back before my curfew after hunting down this werewolf? What do I do when my prom date's father really is the devil? Is our really good looking biology teacher a vampire or does he just have a really good skin care routine? These are the type of questions that worry the Library Club, the defacto supernatural investigators of Hollydale High. With the upcoming Halloween Dance, there's been all sorts of spookies going bump in the night, but you're worried about something big going down at the dance... Monster of the Week is a Powered by the Apocalypse (meaning it is more rules-lite and characters have well-defined archetypes through playbooks) game designed to tell stories about investigators solving supernatural mysteries and putting down the bad guys that brought them about. This game specifically is going to be a homage to the entire supernatural high school mystery genre; expect to have to juggle getting your science homework done with saving the world. Characters will be made at the table; bring 2 six-sided dice and as much camp and teenage angst as you can.

Mothership 1E
AkiA quiet life dashed as the crew of a middle-of-nowhere pitstop are caught in-between two groups of distraught and paranoid survivors, each carrying their own secrets. A forest fire trapping all within the outpost, the only escape a small battered ship. Smoke, distrust, and impending violence billows through the the air. Amidst the tension, something stalks, kills and replaces. A perfect mimic, but under its skin... A one-shot adventure inspired by the 1982 cult classic film The Thing, where even players may be the monster without realizing. A host of paranoid and suspicous NPCs both serve as suspects and replacement PCs should a player be taken or be revealed to have been replaced. We'll be playing using Mothership, a simple and intuitive sci-fi horror RPG where you try to keep your wits about you and survive the dangers of outer space. Perfect for this very Halloween edition of Otsuka game day! This system uses d10s and a d20, bring a pencil and eraser but I will have material for anyone who needs them as usual!

Breakneck HorrorWe are going to keep with the theme of this October game day and have ourself a nice little horror game. Setting, characters, and story will all be established at the table as we go. Will it be a high school slasher? Psychological horror? A family drama with a splash of eldritch horror? We will find out together.
